Notts County will not name new manager before Christmas
Eriksson (left) and Trembling will decide who succeeds Backe
Notts County will not appoint a new manager until after Christmas, BBC Radio Nottingham understands.
The League Two club have been looking for a new boss since Swede Hans Backe stepped down on 15 December after just seven weeks in charge.
It is believed that Backe had wanted to sign new players in the transfer window but the funds did not materialise from previous owners Munto Finance.
Munto have since been brought out by executive chairman Peter Trembling.
Trembling and Notts director of football Eriksson are believed to have met over the weekend to discuss Backe's successor.
Former assistant Dave Kevan has been in temporary charge while the club look at more than 30 applications for the post.
Ex-Wycombe, Leicester and England Under-21 boss Peter Taylor has already declared his interest in the job and former Sheffield Wednesday manager Brian Laws is also rumoured to be in the running.
