Parrish worked as assistant manager under Bernard McNally at Telford
Northampton Town have appointed Sean Parrish as their new head of youth and Trevor Gould has become head of the club's centre of excellence.
The pair replace Geoff Harrop who left for Torquay earlier in June.
Parrish had previously been the Cobblers' under-18 coach while Gould looked after the under-16s.
Chairman David Cardoza told the club's website: "They both know the club, they know the coaches and they know the players currently in the system."
He added: "They have built up a lot of contacts with local clubs, managers and coaches over the last few years.
"Knowing the local football scene and having contacts there is very important."
As a player Parrish spent four years at Sixfields between 1996 and 2000, making 115 appearances, while Gould featured for the Cobblers from 1970 to 1973.
The club have also appointed Andy Wooldridge as commercial manager.
Meanwhile Northampton's clash with Rotherham on Saturday 23 April has been brought forward to Good Friday (22 April) and will kick-off at 1945 GMT.
