Northampton boss Stuart Gray believes his side are lacking leaders after their crushing 5-2 defeat by Leeds in their FA Cup first round replay.
The defeat means the Cobblers have not got a victory in their last six games.
Gray told BBC Radio Northampton: "If mistakes happen it's how you respond, you've got to have a bit of leadership on the pitch.
"At this moment we have got probably five stronger characters in the treatment room."
He added: "I said to the players, 'you've got the shirts, you've got to get on with it'.

"It was just a freaky game where we seemed to get punished but you have got to admire the quality of Beckford with his finishing."
Northampton conceded four goals before half-time while Leeds striker Jermaine Beckford scored a hat-trick.
