Harriers striker loses his appeal

Robbie Matthews
Robbie Matthews came to Aggborough from Salisbury in the summer.

Kidderminster Harriers have lost their appeal against Robbie Matthews' red card against Luton Town last Saturday.

Matthews was sent off during the 2-1 home defeat for appearing to stamp on Luton keeper Mark Tyler.

Harriers sent a DVD and still images of the incident to the Football Association to support their case, but the appeal was rejected.

Matthews now faces an immediate three-match ban, meaning that he will miss Saturday's home match with Crawley.
