Harriers still upbeat - Finnigan

Kidderminster Harriers midfielder John Finnigan says Saturday's 2-1 home defeat by Luton Town will not dent his side's confidence.

Harriers were leading 1-0 when striker Robbie Matthews was sent off.

And Finnigan told BBC Hereford & Worcester: "We should not have lost but the referee altered the course of the game with a silly sending-off.

"We are still happy with where we are going, the Luton result is a setback but we are confident we can do well."

He added: "Luton are a good side they will do well this season, but we were confident going into the game."

Harriers' next game is a home clash with Crawley on Saturday and Finnigan believes they will bounce back from the Luton defeat.

"They are all difficult and Crawley are another side who will expect to be up and around the play-offs," he said.

"But if we play as well as we did in the first half against Luton, there will not be many teams who will beat us."

Harriers have been drawn at home to Fleetwood Town in the fourth qualifying round of the F.A. Cup. The game is due to be played on Saturday 24 October.
