Ipswich Town manager Roy Keane has confirmed he has offered a new contract to midfielder Liam Trotter.
The 20-year-old was on loan at Grimsby and Scunthorpe last season and is out of contract at the end of June.
Keane told the club's website: "I've had a chat with Liam and we've offered him a new contract, I've told him that I'd like to keep him at the club."
Scunthorpe have expressed an interest in signing Ipswich-born Trotter if he decides to leave Portman Road.
