Leicester's Jack Hobbs completes loan move to Hull City
Hobbs made five first team appearances for Liverpool
Hull City have completed the loan signing of defender Jack Hobbs from Championship rivals Leicester City.
Having been made available by Foxes boss Sven Goran-Eriksson, Hobbs, 22, has signed until the end of the season.
Sheffield Wednesday were also in the chase, and had hoped to take the former Liverpool youngster to Hillsborough.
But Hobbs, who has made 30 appearance for the Foxes this season, has opted to rejoin former Leicester manager Nigel Pearson in East Yorkshire.
In 2005 Hobbs was signed by Liverpool from Lincoln City for a reported £750,000. He was loaned to Scunthorpe and then to Leicester before signing a permanent deal in April 2009. Last season he was the club's player of the year, but the arrival of Ivorian central defender Sol Bamba has limited his opportunities at the Walkers Stadium.
