Green and Dobson teamed up at schoolboy level

Coach Justin Morgan believes it will be some time before Hull Kingston Rovers fans see new half-back partners Michael Dobson and Blake Green at their best.

Both played their part in Rovers' 34-22 season-opening derby defeat of rivals Hull FC in Cardiff, with Green, 24, scoring a try on his debut.

"I imagine it's going to be months before we see the best of them," Morgan told BBC Radio Humberside.

"They like to throw the ball around and will give us plenty of options."

Morgan continued: "My job is to help coach good decisions and hopefully we can work on that over the remainder of the season."

Green joined Rovers from the Canterbury Bulldogs during the off-season on a two-year deal.

However, his partnership with Dobson is not an unfamiliar one as they were team-mates for Australian Schoolboys in 2004.
