West (right) has worked with boss Chris Turner twice before

Hartlepool United have appointed Colin West as an assistant coach.

West worked with sport director Chris Turner in a previous spell at Pools and at Sheffield Wednesday.

Turner told the club's website he was delighted to have him on his staff: "We are bringing a very good coach to the football club.

"He was successful when he was here before, you need to work with someone you know and can trust and I know he can do a good job."
