Chris Dickson will not get a contract from Gillingham
Dickson has failed to find form during his second spell at Priestfield
Charlton striker Chris Dickson will not be offered a contract at Gillingham when his loan spell at Priestfield runs out at the end of the season.
Gills boss Mark Stimson says Dickson has not done enough in his second spell with the club to earn a permanent deal.
The 25-year-old has scored just once in eight appearances this season and has spent the last few weeks on the bench.
"He didn't play as many minutes as he would have liked and obviously I'd have liked," Stimson told BBC Radio Kent.
It is a stark contrast to Dickson's first spell at Priestfield in 2007, when he netted 11 times from 14 starts.
"He's got a lovely way about him, he's got a great smile," said Stimson.
I'm sure he'll get a club in the summer and we might read about him scoring a few goals

"He just needs to be a little bit more professional in his game.
"If he does that then he'll continue to play at a decent level. If he doesn't then who knows where he'll end up.
"But I'm sure he'll get a club in the summer and we possibly might read about him scoring a few goals," added Stimson.
Dickson was Gillingham's top transfer target at the start of the season, and Stimson pursued him for two years before he finally signed a three-month loan deal in February.
