One-match FA ban for Gateshead boss Ian Bogie

Gateshead boss Ian Bogie has been handed a one-match ban and fined £350 by the Football Association following his dismissal against Luton last month.

The ban means the 43-year-old will have to view Saturday's FA Trophy tie with Dartford from the stands.

"I'm disappointed and I've apologised to the referee for my actions," Bogie told BBC Newcastle.

"It was born out of pure frustration under the circumstances. I hope we can move on from that now."

Bogie added: "I've been the manager of Gateshead for four years and it's the first time I've had to sit in the stands."

Meanwhile Bogie's side have already disposed of Southport and Hampton & Richmond Borough on their run to the FA Trophy third round, ahead of the visit of Tony Burman's Dartford side to the International Stadium.

"We'll take it one game at a time, but every team in the last 16 will say the same, they've got a great opportunity for a trip to Wembley," Bogie continued.

"It's a long way off, we've got to make sure we show professionalism to see the game through and it'll be a difficult tie.

"We've had Dartford watched, and they're useful opposition. They've got a decent cup pedigree this season, they ran Port Vale - a Football League side - close in the FA Cup and to come through to the stage they are they beat Crawley in an earlier round.

"They'll be no mugs, we'll give them the respect they deserved, but we're on our home patch and we'll look forward to it."
