Exeter City manager Paul Tisdale said he was impressed by on-loan Tottenham defender Troy Archibald-Henville's Football League debut on Tuesday night.
The 20-year-old started for City in their 2-1 win at Dagenham and Redbridge in League Two.
"He played fantastically," Tisdale told BBC Radio Devon.
"He showed good composure on the ball and showed real quality, which you'd expect of a player that's come from that level."
Archibald-Henville, Spurs' reserve team captain, is at St James Park on a month's loan and has slotted into the squad well, according to Tisdale.
"We're very comfortable with him being part of our team and I think it was a nice boost for the squad to have him in there," added the Exeter boss.
"He'd been to our club before Christmas and spent a week with us so it wasn't like he'd just turned up today and met everybody.
"He defended extremely well, he was good in the air but he was extremely quick to recover when Dagenham turned us."
