Ashikodi has played in the English and Scottish Premier Leagues
Ebbsfleet have signed Moses Ashikodi following his release by Kettering and he could make his debut against the Poppies on Tuesday.
The 22-year-old, who made his Football League debut at the age of 15 for Millwall, makes Fleet his 12th club.
Boss Liam Daish told BBC Radio Kent: "Scoring hasn't been too bad of late but we needed something different."
Ashikodi scored seven goals in 16 games for Town this season, last playing in November's FA Cup draw with Leeds.
Daish added: "Moses can give us that. He had a good first half of the season with Kettering, got them up to third in the league with his goals.
Unless money can be generated he will be our only signing. I've still got the loan option which I can utilise, should I need it

"But we've made an early move for him, he appreciates that, he's got connections in this area, he wanted to come and wanted to help this club become safe."
The Fleet have scored just 22 goals in 28 league games and are 22nd and Daish is looking forward to seeing Ashikodi in his team.
"He can play with his back to goal, he's got decent athleticism and pace," he said. "He'll give us a presence up front.
"It won't necessarily mean a change of shape. We can play the same way, be bolder and maybe play 4-3-3 and play around Moses if we play him centrally."
"Unless money can be generated he will be our only signing. I've still got the loan option which I can utilise, should I need it."
Ashikodi had a brief loan spell at Gillingham from West Ham in 2005.
