Ebbsfleet boss Liam Daish has admitted the time has come to tell some of his players that they are not good enough to play in the Blue Square Premier.
Their 4-0 defeat at Cambridge United was their biggest loss of the season so far and they have only taken nine points from the first 16 games.
Daish told BBC Radio Kent: "The squad's not good enough, the personnel's not good enough.
"Too many players just aren't up to this standard."
He added: "There are a few young lads that I think are worth persevering with but too many players are not performing and it's costing us.
"I think there will be some to the point meetings during the week with personnel within the squad.
"I've got to really turn round and say as 'much as I've given you the chance, I think I've got to do something about it'."
Ebbsfleet are currently third from bottom in the table, with just one win.
