Boss Liam Daish says he needs more players if they are to survive

Ebbsfleet United have bolstered their young squad with the signing of experienced former Rotherham and Luton Town midfielder Peter Holmes.

The 29-year-old, who joined Harrogate last month, goes straight into the squad for Saturday's game at Cambridge as they look for a second win in 16.

"Peter is an experienced midfield grafter," said chairman Duncan Holt.

"He's not afraid to get forward... and brings more depth to our relatively inexperienced squad."

Holmes has also had loan spells at Chesterfield, Lincoln and York City - where he made five starts last season.
