Daish has to deal with budget cuts at Ebbsfleet this summer
Ebbsfleet United manager Liam Daish has quashed recent speculation linking him with a move to Cambridge United.
Former Cambridge chairman George Rolls claimed Daish was to be appointed at the Abbey Stadium, but the two clubs could not agree a compensation deal.
But Daish told BBC Radio Kent: "There's been a lot of speculation but I didn't look further than Ebbsfleet United.
"I wouldn't have spent that amount of hours on the training ground if I didn't feel I was here long term."
Rolls had insisted the U's wanted Daish, but instead opted for Martin Ling when an agreement could not be made.
But Daish hit back, saying: "I don't really give the time of day to people who aren't in football. Is George Rolls in football? I don't know, so is it worth me commenting?
"I'll comment about my own team but I don't really talk about other clubs, that's their business."
