Eastbourne Borough chairman Len Smith says management duo Garry Wilson and Nick Greenwood are capable of saving the club from relegation.
The Sports currently lie bottom of Blue Square Bet Premier, and are five points adrift of safety.
Smith told BBC Sussex: "We are all feeling the pressure, but we're convinced we will turn the corner.
"Garry and Nick have proved they can do it in the past and I'm sure they'll do it again."
The part-time club avoided relegation last season following a final-day victory over Oxford United.
"It's a tough league," Smith continued. "We're probably punching above our weight a little bit.

"We need a break. Two games a week is taking a toll on us."
Borough have slipped down the table after losing their last 10 league matches, but Smith says it is unlikely he will replace Wilson and Greenwood.
"My thinking is they'll be here until the end of the season but you can never say never," he said.
"I've got the faith we've got the people here to do it and the players that want to do it."
