Green has played six times for the Rams so far this season

Derby County midfielder Paul Green is facing at least a month on the sidelines after the club confirmed he needs an operation on a foot injury.

Green, who has been troubled by foot and ankle problems since last season, missed Tuesday's home loss to Barnsley and will have surgery this weekend.

The Rams could also lose defender Jake Buxton for several weeks.

Buxton has a stomach injury which the club fear could be a hernia problem and he will see a specialist on Thursday.
