Dagenham and Redbridge sign Dorchester's Phil Walsh

Dagenham & Redbridge

Dagenham & Redbridge have signed striker Phil Walsh on a two-and-a-half-year deal from Dorchester Town.

The 25-year-old, who hit four goals for the Blue Square South side this season, has joined the Daggers for an undisclosed 'small' fee.

Walsh previously played for non-league Newport County, Bath City and Tiverton before joining Dorchester in May 2009.

Daggers boss John Still said: "He is a 6ft 3ins centre-forward and will add to our front-line."

He added: "We haven't got the biggest of squads, so signing Phil definitely strengthens that.

"We will be paying a fee for him, but it's only a small one."
