Boothroyd took over at the Community Stadium in September
Colchester manager Aidy Boothroyd has said that his side will bounce back from their 7-0 hammering at the hands of Preston in the FA Cup third round.
The defeat at Deepdale was United's biggest loss in over 20 years and only the second time they have been beaten in the past 11 games.
But Boothroyd told BBC Essex: "Adversity can be taken in two ways.
"You can crumble or you can bounce back. I've never been one to crumble and neither are the players."
The former Watford boss added: "They're a good group.
"I'll shout and bawl a bit at them on Monday and by Friday we'll be raring to go against Yeovil and we'll see if we can pick up some more points and get after that automatic promotion spot."
