Defender John Brayford believes Crewe can win promotion

John Brayford believes Crewe Alexandra have the amount of games and the quality in their squad to win automatic promotion from League Two this season.
The full-back, who turned 22 on Tuesday, told BBC Radio Stoke that a 4-1 defeat at Macclesfield has not changed his opinion about his team.
"One game doesn't change the fact that we think we can reach the play-offs or even to go up automatically," he said.
"We want to pick up a few more points in January and kick on from there."
The Alex were on a six-match unbeaten run before their defeat at the Moss Rose on Monday.
"We'd been on a good run before the Macclesfield game," added Brayford. "No one turned up thinking it was going to be easy.
"I just think it was one of those days where nothing went right for us and everything went right for them."
Dario Gradi's side, who visit Hereford on Saturday, are currently 12th in League Two, five points away from a play-off place and nine points behind third-placed Rotherham United.
