A three-goal, first-half spree earned Macclesfield a comfortable victory over Crewe.
Ben Wright put the home in front in the fourth minute following good work from Colin Daniel before Paul Bolland doubled the lead nine minutes later.
A rasping 35-yard Daniel drive gave the visitors a 3-0 lead on the half hour.
But Crewe hit back in the second half as Calvin Zola capitalised on a mistake in the 64th minute but Ricky Sappleton sealed the fourth in injury time.
Crewe boss Dario Gradi told BBC Radio Stoke:
"I thought the team played well, what surprised me was all their goals going in so quickly.
"Danny O'Donnell's been playing well but then he's been poor for two of the goals and I think he understands now what I mean and what's required.
"We're not clinical and we don't have great finishers but I don't think the players could have done a lot more than what they did."
