Crewe striker Clayton Donaldson believes they can continue their unbeaten run which now stretches to five league matches.

Donaldson scored his fourth goal in five games to give the Alex a 2-1 win at Barnet on Saturday.

He told BBC Radio Stoke: "We've got that consistency with the players in the team. Everyone can name the team before the manager does.

"We're performing well, it always helps when you've got that consistency."

Crewe's run has seen them climb to 13th in the table and their next two games are at home against Torquay on Saturday and league leaders Rochdale on Boxing Day.

Donaldson, 25, added: "I'm on a good run of form at the moment. Getting into the scoring situations is a positive thing.

"I'm always happy to get chances every game and I know I'll score most of them."

Donaldson missed two months of the season after breaking his leg at Bournemouth in August.

But since returning to the starting line-up he has struck up a profitable partnership with Calvin Zola which has provided 17 goals.
