Zola and Donaldson have started the last two matches in attack for Crewe
Dario Gradi is confident that Crewe strikers Calvin Zola and Clayton Donaldson can become one of the most feared pairings in League Two.
Zola is among the top scorers in the division, with 13 goals in all competitions, while Donaldson has scored in each of his last two games.
"They're definitely a handful," the caretaker manager told BBC Radio Stoke.
"They're doing fine at the moment and I'm think that there's still more to come from both of them."
Gradi continued: "Calvin is one of those players that sometimes you're not happy with, but you would rather have playing for you than against you.
"Clayton is very quick. I've still to see the best of him, I haven't seen a lot of him to be honest."
Donaldson missed two months of action after breaking his leg at the end of August, but has seized his opportunity to get back into the team with his first goals of the season against Northampton and Burton.
"It was a tight decision about whether to play him," added Gradi. "I've got a desire to see Byron Moore in that position, and had Shaun Miller been fit, he would have played.
"Clayton's laid a claim to that place now. They were both good goals that he's scored."
