Brayford says he is focused on starting the season with Crewe
Crewe Alexandra defender John Brayford insists he knows nothing about a potential move away from Gresty Road.
Brayford, 21, joined the Railwaymen for £80,000 on a three-year contract from Burton Albion last September.
Speaking to BBC Radio Stoke, he said: "I haven't heard anything. My aim is just to get as fit as I can and get myself ready for a tough pre-season."
The full-back has been linked with a move to Derby County to once again team up with his former boss Nigel Clough.
Brayford made 34 league appearances last season, scoring two goals.
His consistent performances led to him being voted the club's player of the year, in a season which saw Crewe relegated to League Two.
Other Championship clubs are understood to have made inquiries about Brayford, but he said he was simply focusing on his return for pre-season training on 29 June.
"Dealing with speculation is part and parcel of football and you just have to deal with it.
"I don't know anything and I would be one of the first to know if there was anything in the pipeline.
"If I don't know, then I am not sure why others know."
