Crewe have conceded 47 goals in 23 League One games this season
Crewe Alexandra manager Gudjon Thordarson has confirmed he is looking to bring a goalkeeping coach to the South Cheshire club.
The Alex are currently bottom of League One, having conceded more goals than any other team in the division.
Thordarson told BBC Radio Stoke: "It would be healthy to strengthen the staff with a goalkeeping coach.
"It's vital that we improve the quality of our goalkeeping and it is something I'm looking into."
Earlier this week, Thordarson said that goalkeeping errors were a major factor in Crewe's FA Cup third round defeat to Millwall.
The Alex went down 3-2 in the replay at the Alexandra Stadium on Tuesday night, with keeper Steve Collis fumbling the ball into the net for Millwall's first goal.
"It's something I'm disappointed with," said Thordarson.
"We conceded soft goals in both games and I think our goalkeepers helped Millwall get through."
Stuart Tomlinson played in goal for the Alex in the original tie, a 2-2 draw at the New Den.
Now the Icelander has said he is looking to improve the coaching available to all his keepers, initially on a part-time basis.
"There are people I know that could help us, possibly part-time to begin with," said Thordarson.
"I'll speak to both keepers and it's also up to them to show me what they're made of.
They have got to have faith in themselves if they want me to have faith in them," he added.
