Rix last played for Crewe in the defeat to Leeds back in September

Crewe midfielder Ben Rix could yet play a part in the club's fight against relegation from League One.

The 24-year-old is the club's longest-serving player but he has only featured four times this season.

His name was circulated to go out on loan to other clubs under the previous boss Steve Holland.

But caretaker manager Dario Gradi told BBC Radio Stoke: "I feel he is getting closer to where he would like to be fitness-wise, so he's in my plans."
