Defender Dean Howell agrees new deal at Crawley Town
Howell left League Two side Aldershot Town in the summer
Crawley Town defender Dean Howell has agreed an 18-month extension to his current contract.
Howell, 30, has been the subject of interest from Football League clubs, but will now stay at the Blue Square Bet Premier club until summer 2012.
He told the club website: "I was aware of the interest from other clubs but Crawley Town is a club going places.
"We are challenging for the league title, so what more could I want? This is a great place to work."
Crawley manager Steve Evans said: "Deano has been excellent since the first day he arrived.
"I was not surprised in the interest shown in him as he has been in superb form all season, but over the last few weeks our talks on a contract extension have been productive for both parties and I am delighted."
