Morrison confident of more goals

Will Clinton Morrison's goal tally eventually match his squad number?

Coventry City striker Clinton Morrison believes he can continue his recent good form in front of goal.

The summer signing grabbed his sixth of the season on Saturday, heading home the winner at Sheffield Wednesday.

After taking until 25 October to break his league duck for Coventry, Morrison said: "I've scored four in six games so I believe I can carry on going.

"I've a target in my head," Morrison told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire. "I'm not saying, but it's double figures."

Morrison now has six goals to his name in all competitions for Coventry and is comfortably top scorer, having netted double the tally of any other Sky Blues player.

Following Saturday's win, the Sky Blues now entertain Swansea on Tuesday night. And Morrison knows it is about time the team put together a string of victories, something they have not managed since the start of the season when they won their opening three fixtures.

"We've got to put back-to-back wins together," he said. "And we've got to start winning at home and entertaining the fans at home because we haven't been doing that."
