Colchester midfielder Dean Hammond says manager Paul Lambert has instilled a "winning mentality" in the side.
The U's have lost just once in nine games, winning six of them and moving up to 11th in League One.
The 25-year-old told BBC Essex: "We want to win every game and the gaffer has given us a winning mentality and we now look forward to every game.
"The Community Stadium feels like home now, we've won three or four games in a row and we're enjoying it."
Lambert took over at the Essex club in October, with them struggling in 20th place in League One and without a victory at their new home.
