Colchester United boss Geraint Williams is happy with the way their pre-season preparations have gone.
The U's have won all four of their games so far, as they prepare for a return to League One football.
Williams told BBC Essex: "We've had different types of games and we've handled them all well so far.
"But we're building a very good team spirit, a work ethic, there's a good shape about the side, we look solid and we look like we're creating [chances]."
Williams added: "So that's all that we want from pre-season training and everyone fit for the start of the season."
Sometimes I've had pre-seasons where we've done fantastically well and then lost the first three or four games of the season

Wins over Tiptree United, Heybridge Swifts, Woking and Chelmsford City have helped to put the Essex team in confident mood ahead of their new life at the Community Stadium.
But Williams cautioned against any complacency.
""You can't read everything in to pre-season games," he warned.
"Sometimes I've had pre-seasons where we've done fantastically well and then lost the first three or four games of the season."
The U's continue their preparations with matches against Dagenham & Redbridge, Athletic Bilbao, Luton Town and Norwich City, before kicking-off their league campaign away to Hartlepool on 9 August.
