| Friday, 31 January, 2003, 18:00 GMT Parkin eyes Colchester job ![]() Steve Parkin has been out of work since last year Former Barnsley manager Steve Parkin says he is interested in taking over at Colchester United following Steve Whitton's departure. Parkin, who also been in charge at Mansfield and Rochdale, left Oakwell 13 games into this season with the club in administration. "I'm certainly interested, as will any out of work manager be," Parkin told BBC Radio Essex. "I can tell the fans of Colchester, if I get the job they'll get a hard-working manager who'll get the best out of the players. "There isn't a lot of time to save the club from the drop but it can be done." |
