Blatherwick injury boost
Chesterfield defender Steve Blatherwick could make a quicker than expected recovery after breaking his nose on Saturday.

The centre-back went to hospital in Cheltenham for X-rays which confirmed the break following a challenge with the Robins' Julian Alsop.

However, Blatherwick is in contention to retain his place for the game on Sunday against QPR.

Chesterfield physio James Hewitt told the club website: "Steve took a terrible whack on his nose which is broken and he's suffered a lot of heavy bruising.

"But there's nothing major and if the bruising goes down and Steve wants to play, there's no reason why he might not be involved on Sunday."
