Carlisle United striker Andy Cook has been ruled out for the rest of the season after being told he needs an operation on his broken foot.
The 19-year-old suffered the injury while playing on loan for Barrow against AFC Wimbledon last weekend.
Cook will need to have a bone graft and have the bone pinned.
Physio Neil Dalton told the Carlisle website: "This means that it will take longer to heal, resulting in him being out for approximately five months."
Cook will have a scan early next week to check for associated tendon damage before going in for surgery the following week.
