Under Brabin the U's have conceded just 33 goals all season
Cambridge United boss Gary Brabin has praised his side's defence following Tuesday's win at Barrow.
The U's made it four clean sheets in eight matches and 11 games unbeaten with a 2-0 victory over the relegation-threatened Bluebirds.
Brabin told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "I thought we were immense at the back, as we have been all season.
"It's another clean sheet away from home and we looked rock solid throughout the game."
The U's have only conceded 33 goals in the league this season and just 13 at the Abbey.
Brabin has managed to name a consistent back four with Wayne Hatswell, Phil Bolland, Dan Gleeson and Anthony Tonkin all regulars in the side.
Brabin's men remain five points behind Blue Square Premier leaders Burton after the Brewers bounced back from three straight defeats with a 5-0 win at Weymouth.
Third-placed Histon also won at home to Grays to keep the pressure on the U's and Brabin says he expected his side needed to win at Barrow.
"We knew we had to win, it's unfortunate what's happened to Weymouth, but we didn't expect Burton to slip up." he said.
"Three of four months ago a trip to Weymouth was a tough fixture, but now it's a bit of a banker."
