Hoyte scored his only U's goal on his debut against York City

Cambridge United have terminated the contracts of defender Gavin Hoyte and winger Felino Jardim by mutual consent.

Hoyte, 22, made just 11 league starts since signing from Conference South side Bedford Town in June 2007.

Hoyte has found himself down the defensive pecking order behind Phil Bolland, Wayne Hatswell and academy product Josh Coulson.

Jardim, 23, signed in the summer but had fallen behind Courtney Pitt on the left side of midfield.
