Rendell has played two matches since returning to the U's on loan
Cambridge United will assess striker Scott Rendell after he missed Sunday's 2-1 win over Rushden and Diamonds with a wrist injury.
Cambridge boss Gary Brabin told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "Scott has picked up a bit of a wrist or hand problem - it's a suspected broken wrist.
"It will be looked at to see what the potential dangers are."
Rendell has only played two matches for the U's since returning to the Abbey Stadium on loan from Peterborough.
Brabin was also without Anthony Tonkin and Daryl McMahon at Nene Park, which forced his hand in terms of team selection.
The U's changed to a 3-5-2 formation, with Wayne Hatswell, Jon Challinor, Mark Beesley and Chris Holroyd coming into the side.
And it worked as Phil Bolland's late header secured the U's their first league away win since August and saw them climb to third in the Blue Square Premier.
"We had to change our system owing to the injuries, but that's our first away win for a while and it caps off a really nice day, it was well deserved," said Brabin.
"It was a little bit of a relief to get an away victory, it was emotional to get such a late goal and hopefully we'll get a few more away wins between now and the end of the season."
