Veteran Burton Albion goalkeeper Kevin Poole has agreed to carry on playing for one more season.
The 46-year-old is goalkeeping coach at the Pirelli Stadium but has made four appearances this term and will be in goal against Bournemouth on Saturday.
Brewers manager Paul Peschisolido told BBC Radio Derby: "He is fantastic.
"To have a player who can motivate and coach young goalkeepers as well as be back-up keeper is great. You couldn't get any better than Kevin."
Poole came through the youth ranks at Aston Villa, turning professional in 1981 and has played for nine clubs during a 29-year career.
Peschisolido added: "He is a great pro, has been a fantastic goalkeeper through his career and has never lost that hunger."
