Burton Albion have signed goalkeeper Shane Redmond on loan from Nottingham Forest as cover for Kevin Poole.
The Republic of Ireland under-21 international will also train full-time with the Brewers until January.
Burton manager Paul Peschisolido told BBC Radio Derby: "I've been looking for a keeper for a while.
"We managed to do a deal to keep him here until January and then hopefully further on depending on an agreement between us and Forest."
Peschisolido is keen for Redmond to work full-time with Kevin Poole and worked hard to ensure he would not have to keep returning to the City Ground.
The Burton boss is also keen for the 20-year-old to push Poole for a first team place.
He added: "We don't want anyone to be too comfortable so the competition for places is important and they'll both be fighting it out to be number one."
Meanwhile, Forest winger James Reid has joined Rushden and Diamonds on loan for six months.
