Gary Hart signs new deal with Brighton and Hove Albion
Hart was signed by Brian Horton for 1000 and a set of kit
Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Gary Hart has signed a new one-year contract with the League One club.
The 33-year-old has impressed manager Gus Poyet during pre-season and is set for his 13th campaign with the club.
He told BBC Sussex: "It's nice to sort out because it's so close to the start of the season.
"It took time due to players going in and going out. They were the priority. I've always told the gaffer I wanted to stay here."
Hart had spent the summer training with the Seagulls, despite not being offered a new deal at the end of last season.
"You start to wonder whether you're going to sign anything in the end but I'm happy now I'm all signed and I can get on with my football now," he said.
Hart has made over 400 appearances for Brighton since joining in 1998 from Essex League side Stansted.
