McNulty joined Brighton from Stockport less than a month ago

Brighton left-back Jim McNulty is glad to be back in first-team action again after a two lengthy spells on the sidelines with serious injuries.

The 24-year-old, ruled out with kidney and ankle problems, came off the bench during the 2-0 defeat to Charlton for his first game in nearly two months.

McNulty told BBC Sussex: "Hopefully I am all done now with regards to the bad luck [with injuries].

"I just want to play some football for a change," McNulty added.

"It's been very quick [his return], I've not really done much training, just straight back in in the last couple of days and on the field tonight.

"It's a lot to take in but there's no other place I want to be."
