Eastbourne Borough midfielder Dan Brown says his side need to start making the most of their chances in front of goal and not bemoan the referee's decisions.
The 29-year-old, who signed from Cambridge United in January, has made 20 appearances for Boro this season.
"It's getting hard work dealing with these referees at the minute," Brown told BBC Sussex.
"But you make your own luck, it's positive that we're creating them but we're missing chances."
He added: "You've got to rally around, it's personalities, it's characters, we're doing alright, I think we're coming together.
"We're not quite at the desire levels that we were last year but we've got a lot more ability this year.
"It sounds silly but we're not even at Christmas. There's a lot of football to be played. It's a fine line, you score those chances and you're on a roll."
