McNulty joined Brighton from Stockport less than a month ago

Brighton's injury crisis has worsened with the news that left-back Jim McNulty is expected to be out for "some time" with a kidney injury.

The 24-year-old was brought to hospital following Saturday's 4-0 defeat by League One relegation rivals Crewe.

The managerless Seagulls now have 11 players struggling with injury.

Tommy Elphick, Nicky Forster, Michael Kuipers, Gary Hart, Jonny Dixon and Calvin Andrew will all miss Tuesday's game with Bristol Rovers.
