Brighton have signed Stockport left-back Jim McNulty for 150,000 and Oldham striker Craig Davies for an undisclosed fee.
McNulty, 23, originally turned down a move to the Withdean but has now agreed a three-and-a-half year deal.
Former Manchester City trainee Davies, also 23, played 55 games for the Latics, scoring 14 goals.
The Wales international has played for Oxford, Verona, Wolves and had a loan spell at Stockport while at Oldham.
McNulty told the club's website: "I wasn't looking to move away from Stockport, I was happy there.
"But the persistence of both Brighton chairman Dick Knight and manager Micky Adams eventually convinced me this was the right move."
