McNulty joined Brighton from Stockport less than a month ago
Brighton defender Jim McNulty has made his return to football after his kidney was removed earlier this year.
The defender, who was injured in an innocuous challenge against Crewe in February, came on as a substitute in Saturday's 2-0 win over Scunthorpe.
McNulty told BBC Sussex: "It's brilliant, I'm so glad to be back. I'm always a bit nervous but it was great to get minutes under my belt."
"I wasn't expecting to be running let alone getting games," he added.
Manager Russell Slade said: "For him to come on run around will be a terrific boost for him. He's a great kid and he wants to get back and we can't wait to have him back."
