Brentford have moved swiftly to fill the void left by Nathan Elder's season-ending injury by signing Aston Villa striker Sam Williams until 5 April.
The 21-year-old recently spent a month on loan at Walsall where he made five substitute appearances, scoring once.
Williams will be in the squad to will face London rivals Barnet on Tuesday.
Brentford manager Andy Scott was dismayed to see Elder break an eye socket and cheekbone during Saturday's goalless draw at Rotherham.
Williams has also played for Wrexham, Brighton and Colchester on loan but is yet to make his Aston Villa debut.
