Brentford took another step closer to promotion from League Two with a narrow victory over Barnet.

The battle of the Bees was settled by Brentford's Marcus Bean who rose to glance home Kevin O'Connor's corner with his head.

Brentford had to work hard to take the points as Barnet's Albert Adomah forced a full-length save from Ben Hamer who kicked the curling drive onto the post.

Brentford's Sam Wood headed Paul Furlong's header off the line late on.
