Walton was transfer-listed by Plymouth in December

Blackpool have completed the signing of midfielder Simon Walton from Plymouth on loan until the end of the season.

The 21-year-old, who can play in defence as well, will join up with his new team-mates on Monday.

He will not be allowed to make his Seasiders debut against the Pilgrims on Saturday, 4 April under the terms of the deal.

Walton has played 14 times for Plymouth this season but was transfer-listed after being sent off in December.

He was sent off for kicking out at Barnsley's Anderson Da Silva after a foul.

Walton joined the Pilgrims last summer from QPR for a potentially club record fee of £750,000.
