Walton will wear the number four shirt for the Pilgrims
Plymouth Argyle have completed the signing of Queens Park Rangers 20-year-old midfielder Simon Walton on a four-year deal.
The transfer fee is undisclosed but is understood to be a new record for the Home Park club.
"I've come here to play regular first-team football, which I wasn't doing at QPR," Walton said.
"I've had a rough 12-18 months of injuries, but I hope they're now behind me and I can settle in Plymouth."
He added: "My record at Home Park with other clubs is good. In four separate visits, I've ended up on the losing side only once, and that was last season."
Walton started his career with Leeds United before going on to Charlton Athletic and QPR.
