Barrow co-boss Dave Bayliss has warned his players that they must match the club's ambitions or risk being replaced by new additions.
"The lads definitely deserve a chance, but that doesn't always happen in football," he told BBC Radio Cumbria.
"There's no sentiment in football. I got released by Luton despite helping them get promotion to the Championship.
"If we think we can improve the team to what we've got then the new players will play before the lads we've got."
Bayliss and co-boss Darren Sheridan are both convinced their squad does have the capability to deal with the pressure of Blue Square Premier football.
Their play-off semi-finals and final were played before big crowds and Bayliss is adamant his players are boosted by the prospect of trips to Mansfield and Wrexham next season.

"I think the lads respond as every good footballer should. I know myself I prefer playing in front of 1,000 people rather than 200," he said.
"We didn't need to do a teamtalk for the Telford games because you could sense the atmosphere and the lads were up for it.
"All we need to do next season is make sure they are as prepared as they were for the play-off games and we're very confident that we'll be ok next year."
